Post here who you are and say hello to new people!
I'm Will, I run To Live A Lie Records. I started this board to try to get people networked a bit better for local shows, bands, gear, etc. I'm doing a radio show under this name so hopefully that won't be confusing.

Hey I'm Daniel, and I own and run Sorry State Records, which is both a label with lots of North Carolina punk releases and a store located in downtown Raleigh at 317 W Morgan St, Suite 105 (next to the Borough).
I also play in a couple of bands... No Love (melodic / pop-punk) and a new band that doesn't have a name yet, but we have members of Devour and Stripmines and are sort of doing a similar sound to those two bands. I've played in a bunch of NC punk bands like Cross Laws, Logic Problem, Devour, and Infeccion.

Hey, I'm David. I live in Apex and run No Profit Records. I'm the singer in the Asheville based band, Drunk in a Dumpster.
The next release for No Profit Records will be a 7" for Raleigh punk band, Future Crimes. I'm also working on rebuilding the Huntsville, Alabama Underground Music Archive 1980-1995 website. The site, which used to exist on Myspace, is a collection of music, flyers, pictures and videos of the North Alabama punk and metal scene that I was a part of in 1980s and early 90s.

Hey everybody! I'm Jeff. I work for Daniel ( sorrystate) at the Sorry State Records store. I'm there every Tuesday and Saturday. I played in Stripmines from 2009 to mid-2012. Since then, I've played in a whole slew of other bands! As of right now though, I play guitar in a new band from Raleigh called Skemäta (demo coming soon!), but I also play guitar in Mercy Killings, all the other members of which live in Richmond, VA. I'm also in the new unnamed band with Daniel. PS Will, this is awesome! I hope this forum gives more incentive for Raleigh hardcorepunkmetalfreaks to stay connected.

My name's Matt. I used to do vocals in a local band by the name of Burma. I'm into a lot of metal - mostly oldschool black, death and thrash, as well as a lot of new stuff. I'm also into a lot of noise. I was a DJ on WKNC 88.1's Chainsaw Rock for about a year. On the side I have a few noise projects that I do on my own.

My name is Chris. I run Negative Fun Records, book shows at Legends on First Fridays and just started up a tape label called Antiquated Technology. I'll be doing a radio show on Little Raleigh Radio from 6-8 on Saturday nights playing lots of garage, punk, hardcore, and good indie stuff. I once played in a band called Paindriver from Providence RI. Aaron from Ulcer was the singer, Ben from Dropdead played a little on our record. We played with Crudos once. I played really bad that night. If you need me I'll be picking up all those names that I dropped. Thanks to Will for putting this together.

Chris, I didn't realize your block is two hours long at LRR! Damn, I can't imagine filling that much space.
Also I didn't know you were in Paindriver, that rules!

My names Neil. Originally from Baltimore, got stationed at Ft. Bragg in early 2012. I live in Fayetteville but spend most of my free time in Raleigh.
I played in several shitty hardcore bands in the Baltimore/Annapolis area from 2007-10. None of any note.
I do off/on DJ sets filling in for the legendary DOUG CHAOS Saturday evenings on WKNC.
Not in any bands or anything right now. I fucked up my hand two years ago and I can't really play guitar very well anymore. I'm working on a one-man project to occupy my time after work. sounds like No Trend or something. Kinda cool.

Hey dudes! My name's Ryan and I book shows in the triangle area (mostly metal but I dabble in pop punk/hardcore/garage stuff) under the name Armus (star trek reference wooooo!). I also have a radio show on Little Raleigh radio on Saturday called The Dog Pound with DJ Filthhound from 5-6. I mostly spin local jams as well as stuff I'm digging recently. I will also be interviewing local and touring bands as well as various shop owners in the area.
Right now I'm juggling a few musical projects right now with my main squeeze being Squall (stoner/doom jams) and Cold Embrace (80's style gothpunk). I used to play in Professor X and The Obtruders.

Bonjour, je'mappelle Alex.
I live in Raleigh with my Girlfriend Becca and my Dane Pickles. I book shows, rock at the shows, play at the shows, drink at the shows, push at the shows, read books at the shows, watch vhs at the shows, flip records at the shows and am in rock groups. I'm pretty excited about this forum! We needed another/better site to have all of our D.I.Y activities and what not visible for people interested, and also something besides Facebook(which I do not have) so this helps a lot.
I guess its the thing to do so: Bandography:
Hellmut:2007-2008(my first real band, horrible 15 year old Black Metal)
Ignatius Blackward/Glamhoth:2008-2009(second horrible Black Metal Band)
Stripmines:2009-2012(My hardcore punk band with Gingerbutt)
Old Painless:2010-2012(Grindcore band with epileptic fits)
Lung Matter:2011-2012(Hardcore punk band.. das about it)
Abuse.:2011-still active(Powerviolence nonsense)
Desist:2012?-2013:(pretty much Lung Matter)
Skemata:2013-Still active (Demo coming soon)
Bakteerit:2014(new band in the works)

Hey, I'm Dave. I'm psyched that there is an NC punk forum again! Music scene forums can be hit-or-miss, but this one seems like it's on the right page (NO PUN INTENDED, LOL) so far. I've been in a plethora of bands on various instruments -- most relevantly to this forum, the Drowsies, Antibubbles, Devour and Last Words. Right now I'm playing drums in No Love and bass in that new band Daniel and Jeff mentioned. I used to live in Raleigh, currently live in Durham with my lovely wife, our cat Steve and our greyhound Barbara (that's her over there in my avatar), but I still work and practice in Raleigh, and am generally here an awful lot. Up the Raleigh punx!
