Who else likes Brain F? The first time I saw them play was at the Berkeley Cafe and it was really weird. They played with Sunglasses from ATL who were a lot like awesome Static X. I wasn't sure if I liked it at the time, but then I saw Brain F/ again in ATL and had to change my mind and make them one of my all time favorite bands. I wish they would become a full time professional band again and come play in Chicago. Did anyone see their reunion? Anyone heard the new album yet? I still need to check it out.
edit: I was thinking about how cool this band was and especially the drum patterns because they always fit the music but they're also subtly changing. I also like how there's just two cymbals but he gets all types of sounds from them. It sounds like way more cymbals the way he plays them.

The Brain Flannel "reunion" sets (particularly the Saturday one) were probably the best sets I've seen them play from a musical standpoint. Everyone knows I'm a superfan of this band... it's just kind of magical how they all have really unique musical voices and somehow they all collide together into this brilliant shitstorm of awesomeness.

The band that got me into SSR/ NC punk in general. I used to blast Sleep Rough in armored vehicles driving through Kabul. Bummed I missed the few recent shows.
