So, one of the reasons this board was created is that Raleigh seems like it's about to blow with a zillion killer new bands. I figured that deserved a thread where we can link to these bands as they get stuff out. Here are a couple to start:

This is my pop-punk band. I feel like these songs aren't too representative of the band any more as our new songs tend to be faster and harder, but still mega-catchy. Hopefully we can record for a new tape soon.

Raleigh retro HC that's actually been getting a fair bit of attention outside our city and even country. 

I know Skemata just had a recording session... that'll be coming out as a tape on Sorry State so I'm sure we'll post up a bandcamp for that as soon as it's ready. Any other new stuff people should know about?

Raleigh (I think?) punk rock... kinda modern pop-punk style with some ska parts if I remember correctly

There's also a new band called No Chodes starting with Elizabeth from No Love, Hannah from Corporate Herpes and a few other ladies, but I don't think they've even practiced yet much less played or recorded. I really hope it works out, though, because that is a promising lineup and I think there needs to be a lot more feminine energy in Raleigh punk.

I know there's that super young female fronted band called Corporate Herpes. Their drummer looks like Michael Anthony Hall from Breakfast Club and they kinda play X style jams.
